Daley Thompson leaves Celebrity Big Brother fans gobsmacked after Will Best jibe (2025)

Celebrity Big Brother star Daley Thompson wasted no time in taking aim at show host Will Best after he became the third star to be evicted from the famous ITV house

Viewers of Celebrity Big Brother were stunned by Daley Thompson's exit interview. The former Olympian became the third housemate to be evicted from the ITV house - and the fourth in total following Mickey Rourke's early exit.

However, after coming out of the house to a mix of boos and applause, Daley sat down with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. As they had back and forth in the exit interview, Daley repeatedly told the duo they should try a stint in the house at some point.

On one occasion, Will responded by telling the sportsman he doesn't think he is famous enough to be involved in the lineup. Brutally, Daley jibed back in agreement. And his comments were quickly picked by viewers at home who took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their shock at his bluntness.

One user wrote: "Aww Daley just rinsed Will! #CBBUK," while another added: "OMG not Daley telling CBB host Will Best that he’s not famous enough for #CBBUK," followed by a skull and crossbones emoji.

A third fumed: "Wow daley don’t be coming for ar will best #CBBUK" And a fourth seemingly agreed, adding: "Daley you rude b*****d leave Will Best ALONE #CBBUK"

During his exit interview, he said: "I would have liked to have stayed longer but I was quite happy to come out. The problem with it is, no matter what goes on in there, it's you lot out here," as he pointed to the public. He added that he didn't have "high hopes" for his housemates, adding: "They have been funny, revealing, great people."

He went on to reflect on other housemates games on Late and Live. Daley said he wasn't trying to win and added: "It's not something I had any control over.

"In there, all you can do, I think is, all I could do is just try and be the person that I am, whereas all the people in there – they're all performative artists, there are some people who are professional reality stars, if you do that all the time, you know how to play the game.

The eviction followed Ella Rae Wise being tasked with being catty and mocking her fellow housemates. She initially said she would find the task difficult as she is not normally mean.

She got to work though and went around her fellow housemates to dish the dirt. She hit out at Daley Thompson winning "only" two medals before telling Jack P Shephard his Coronation Street character should be killed off as he doesn't do much.

She also mocked Chris Hughes for getting to the Love Island final before telling Chesney Hawkes she didn't recognise his number one music hit.

Sadly, she failed her task after telling people she was being "catty" and making them suspicious. Chesney questioned: "Do you think Ella's on a task?," to which Danny Beard said: "Yeah she's got to be catty, play along guys."

Other tasks saw Angellica Bell and Jack P Shepherd need to remove all the milk from the house without being caught by fellow housemates. Elsewhere,
